Delia Gable grew up in downtown Manhattan with parents in the fashion industry, who encouraged her 3-year old drawings of unicorns killing each other with some misgivings. She received her B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, and later returned to New York for an M.F.A. in Visual Essay from the School of Visual Arts.

She currently resides with three cats in the Bronx.
